Cops shouldn’t be a priority anyway. Won it enough recently.

Malcom should definitely start in his preferred RWF position.

We should be able to get a decent result to take on Camp Nou whichever players we use.

I think a narrow loss would do, but hoping for at least a 1-1.

Sevilla looked incredibly poor against RM in that second half. They are in a bit of a slump lately. I have watched some of their recent games and I have not been impressed. It is not the same Sevilla as earlier in the season and they have looked a bit gassed out for a while now with key players not performing. Of course that can easily change tomorrow night with them having a great game at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in front of their vocal and faithful home supporters. Messi, Busquets and others being rested is a great choice as I believe that we are well in our capability to come away with a favorable result without them.

Cillesen

Semedo-Piqué-Lenglet-Alba

Roberto-Rakitic-Vidal

Malcom-Suárez-Coutinho

and we are ready to go.

Sub in Aleñá, Arthur and unleash the legend that is KPB if necessary. I would like to see Puig in action but unlikely to occur in such a difficult road game.

Pleasantly surprised with the squad list. Resting Messi is probably good. Similarly Busquets who has been bad lately with the occasional odd decent game. Dont really care about the Copa since we have won it so many times..but if we can get to the finals while resting players sufficiently, sure why not.

Semedo-Piqué-Lenglet-Alba

Rakitic
Roberto-Vidal-Arthur
Coutinho
Suárez

Expecting: 1-0 defeat or 1-1

Either way, kudos to Valverde...didnt think he had this in him :worthy:

Malcom has to impress here. He can't stay hugging the line scared to get involved, but come deeper to retrieve the ball and initiate attacks. Regarding the lineup, hopefully we don't go too heavy with the rotations. Something like the following for me.

Cillessen
Semedo-Pique-Vermaelen-Alba
-Bob-
Alena-Arthur
Malcom-Suarez-Coutinhi

Sport's predicted lineup is identical to mine above with the only exception of Arthur starting instead of Roberto. That is a bit of a surprise given how much Arthur has played lately. I would have liked to see a right flank consisting of Semedo, Roberto and Malcom and how that would have performed.

No Messi no Dembele, we will have a tough time scoring in this game for sure. Hope Suarez and Coutinho will step up.

Hoping for a draw like 1:1 with an away goal. Will accept 2:1 as well.

If it is a 2:0 deficit or more it will be hard to overcome in the home leg next week.

This right here, let's just hope we don't give up too many goals, hoping we can keep it close, maybe 2-1 defeat but probably more likely to be 3-1

I expect all the primarily defensive positions to have the first-choice starters, except Rakitic subbing for Busquets, and using the Copa keeper. The first-choice defense has been very effective recently. So, I do not fear Sevilla scoring too much.

With Messi and Dembele out, who knows what the offense will be able to put on the board. I'm hopeful, but it's hard to predict anyone other than Suarez being able to step up.

I am realizing that we have to get used to watching Barca without Messi. Very sad but I agree with the decision to rest Messi, to kep him fresh for CL.
