Copa semi-final: Barca - Atletico

I don't remember this episode, but back then Copa games weren't broadcasted.

The background story to this - schedules back then clashed with international friendlies. We had so many international call-ups that day (the Dutch players, Figo, Litmanen, Rivaldo), three injured players and La Liga rules allowed to register up to 3 B team players. At the end Barca couldn't field 11 players against Atletico for the Copa game. Guardiola as captain had to forfeit the match.

Haha I was just going to say - that's some crazy efficiency, cause I would barely come back and get changed in that much time , leave one make dinner and get set to watch the game

Honestly, I find myself quite tepidly excited for Copa these days. As an accessory to another title, sure, but the copa itself doesn't infuse me with excitement.

Of course it's a big trophy for us given the condition of the club recently, but I'm just excited to see us play atlético and see where we stand than actually caring about the cup itself. IMO it would make a big difference (at least to me) if it was a one game knockout through the competition like it is everywhere else (mostly). This insatiable greed to make the big 3 play each other more has somewhat taken the sheen of of it.

A big knockout game tonight against atlético VS the first half of a two legged tie ..yeah not quite the same.

He is like Morata for RM. If you have a great sub then use him as such. He won’t be as effective when he starts the game. It is better to start with Lewa and replace him with Ferran, not the other way round.
