Valverde is overplaying Iniesta. I'm sure he will burn him before the UCL.

Also, he doesn't have a normal starting 11, always a twist to his formation which fucks up the rhythm.

After this game, Iniesta shouldn't be a starter until Chelski. He can play as a sub next week, but he should not apear at all against Getafe.

Valverde already did more than enough and is playing it safe. Maybe he sees CL as a bonus and not something that important.

Maybe we're indulging Iniesta too much. Valverde shows him that he is important and this is the best way to persuade Iniesta staying another season. Last line-ups show that Valverde is waiting for Dembélé. Vidal and Gomes are wildcards on the RM-position until Dembélé is back at 100%.

Coutinho should have started ahead of Iniesta tbh. It was between Gomes and Paulinho, and Paulinho not sure if anybody noticed but is not in top form either in the last several games. His goals aren't coming anymore and on the ball is worse than Gomes.

Seems like Valverde likes Gomes in away games. Started him both vs Atletico, and vs Bilbao away I think.

And I think Valverde is one of those managers who think slow integration is the best. Basically plays the same go to formation like Lucho last year, with Paulinho-Gomes instead of Neymar.
