In 18/19 season though, Al-Nassr was the champion. They were also champions in 13/14 and 14/15.
And the last year, they bottled a 7 points lead.

This Al-Nassr squad is btw much stronger than other opponents. The only opponent who is as strong as them is Al-Hilal which is completely dominating now.
We can notice also that players that play for Al-Nassr are bigger stars than those playing in Al-Hilal.

They were expected to win this by a margin, to be fair. They didn't need to play extra-time and pen. at the first place.

In penalties, CR scored (not a surprise) and three of his best teammates failed, which was unusual for their standards.
The whole team collapsed mentally at the end, we can see. So, where is the "captain effect"?! Isn't cristiano their captain? Like when portugal beat france in 2016 euro final (the goal of Eder), they said that ronaldo's presence (even outside the pitch) was a main reason of their trophy.. I didn't see that captain effect here, sorry. They were just all angry and frustrated, copying his attitude.

This guy , as a captain and leader of a team , instead of going first to take the penalty and inspire courage and strength to the team , always goes last or when the last penalty is taken just for personal glory. Not a good leader.
