He seems like an intensely masochistic guy. The type that doesn't get much empathy in his family home during childhood, comes hand in hand when having an alcoholic dad whom he loved. Respect for all he's done to write himself in the books of this club, but I find it hard to believe he did anything in his career on the pitch that was selfless.
