Roma is the only nonfinalist or champion that knocked us out from CL. And this goes back 15 years.

2006 champions
2007 eliminated by finalists
2008 eliminated by champions
2009 champions
2010 eliminated by champions
2011 champions
2012 eliminated by champions
2013 eliminated by champions
2014 eliminated by finalists
2015 champions
2016 eliminated by finalists
2017 eliminated by finalists
2018 eliminated by Roma EV recordbreaker
2019 eliminated by champions
2020 eliminated by champions
2021 Pending...

So you're saying we could've won 15 consecutive titles? Nice to know.

 Interesting way to put it. I'd say in about 3-4 of those situations we could've easily won it if we survived that leg when we were knocked out. 2/2 with Pep, and I think in 2016 with Lucho, and 2018 with EV as well.

In 2010 and 2018 we win the finals for sure.

Here's a stat. In the last decade the 3 worst seasons for Juventus have all occurred in the years Ronaldo has played for them.

He's had a great career but he hasn't made Juventus more competitive or anything positive in a sporting sense.

Same people aggressively defending him would be using these last 3 years as fuel to knock Messi for the next decade as evidenced by revisionism of previous losses Messi has been part of. Don't believe for a moment some people here are barca fans. Their comments read too much like the sort of crap you see on twitter in the cringe ronaldo v messi debates but oddly in favour of ronaldo... here... on a barca forum. Stranger thing is that these same people have a history of shitting on Messi and praising ronaldo despite poor performances. Hmmmm interesting.

The biggest issue for Messi is the way in which we exited the CL. we got totally humiliated 3 years in a row.. a CL loss is a CL loss at the end of the day but Ronaldo/Juve loses are just less high profile and pass under the rug - infact we (Barca) usually take all the headlines and spotlight with our humiliation  after that Bayern pounding though, I do think neutrals have realized how shite our current team is

Still,we were eliminated by very good teams, except maybe Roma, but still i think they are better than Porto or Lyon.Juve are abysmal, they couldn't kill a Porto team that played 60 minutes with a man down.In our current form,we would have eased past Porto without many problems imo.

Put it like this...if Messi would have had the performance Gaynaldo put in the tie against Porto,he would have been crucified.Although tbh, with Messi you can always expect at least a moment of brilliance even at his worst.Without the goals,Ronaldo these days is as average as it gets.

Ronaldo looked nervous in the match against porto, compare this ronaldo to the Ronaldo of first season of Juve against Atletico. I think the losses against Ajax and Lyon have made him mentally weaker. Same what happened with Messi after Juve, Roma, Liverpool. Ronaldo got huge confidence after winning Euro and CL in 2016 and smashed the big teams of CL next season. As a football player big titles are important to boost your confidence while big losses can weaken it. You cant forget these things.

I think that's spot on.

This is true. I always felt like CR7 was playing with house money in 16/17 after that CL/Euro 2016 win.

It's more of reality that they can't control matches to go in their favor like they used too

President of FC Barcelona
Mendes has spoken with Madrid about Ronaldo returning (Pederol on Chiringuito)

He should have never left them, but this would be a bad move for Real Madrid. If they're smart they put together the resources needed to sign Mbappe.

No way he returns to Real. Bad move for both parties. Real (and Barca) need younger stars and CR is better off stat-padding in France or in the MLS.
