Some interesting data about Ronaldo peaking, here are his goal per minute numbers from his last season in ManU until this year

So obviously, he only started scoring insane amounts, when he came to Real and his peak came 2 seasons ago (2014-5). Last season, he was already in decline, but compensated due to some extremely easy games in CL, just for reference i posted last 5 season goal per minute ratios in La Liga as well and already last season there was massive gap between the 14-15 one, much higher than total numbers:

He is 32 now, he has more or less lost ability to create goals all by himself, which he was still capable of doing a few years ago. I see no way he can drop this decline.
Totally different case for Messi, his current season goal per minute ratio overall is 82 and in La Liga 75, those numbers are his best since the magic of 11/12 and 12/13 seasons (his best season having amazing 57 minuters per goal) and massive improvement from last season.

What's more remarkable is the lower number of games played by Messi, relative to CR, and the proximity of their tallies.

If it wasn't for Marcelo he would have handed over the league to us thrice in a row with his pen miss ( Vs Alves in 2014-15 , Vs Kamini in 2015-16, Alves again this season ) . Basically he is been carried by his Lb , which is as low as it can go for the self proclaimed best player ever . shameful to see him shooting from impossible positions when there were better options to pass . If i was his teammate , i would have used the F word very next moment he blames me for a pass which is not given to him

If i were his teammates, i would be furious too, but at Benzema instead. We have a striker who literally doesnt score goals, and not much else either, really.

1 season he plays more than ronaldo and he recovers the deficit. probably why ronaldo doesn't want to retire.
