Damn, the amount of vitriol and ridicule he is getting from United fans despite being a United legend

United fans finally see the truth:

"Let's take the nostalgy aside he's just a whining useless brat, if not for some of his goals from pens, his stats and generally move to us would be considered pretty shocking, on par with Lukaku level shambles."

He scored like 4 goals in the first 3 games back, and since then has 11 goals in 27 games  9 in 27 if you exclude pens.

Serie A was massively masking his decline. He's been finished since the Ajax CL tie 3 years ago.

Messi's also decline massively but his decline is far more recent (post Copa).

I think the games vs Napoli opened my eyes a lot. Serie A is in the mud.

But as I expected, Lukaku struggling. He was able to physically dominate Serie A. That league is slow and weak.

But one of the main arguments from CR7 fans is that he would last into his 40s with his body of a 20 year old and insatiable hunger/off the ball movement.

Turns out the man is a finished lumberjack who stands in the box like a statue, is a completely wasteful shooter, and can't make an attacking pass or control the ball to save his life.

Atleast Messi still has his passing game for the most part.

The revisionism in here is crazy. He was great for 70 minutes today, was 2 inches away from scoring in off the post, 2 inches away from his goal not being offside & had a shot blocked off their line by Elanga. Tiny margins being the difference between 0 goals and 3. His passing was spot on, his link-up was good. He had a good performance. He was really poor in the final 20 minutes but guess what? He's 37 and is being forced to play every minute of every game in a congested schedule. It's not his fault the club decided to stupidly let Martial go on loan whilst having Greenwood locked up & Cavani glued to the medic's table.

He played 90 minutes v Atletico 3 days ago, then 90 minutes again today. For a 37 year old that's a lot of football.

wait 4 simeone at home b4 we call him finished guys
