Qatar, Brazil, Belgium, France, Argentina, England, Spain and Portugal are in pot 1. Likes of Germany and Netherlands in pot 2 for some tasty matchups.

Pardon my ignorance but what does that mean?

Does it mean none of the pot 1 teams can be in the same group? How does it work in the WC??

Mind explaining?....

Same as it works for all other competitions. Pot 1 can't meet each other in the groups.

Brazil
France

Spain
Portugal

POT 2

Denmark
Netherlands
Germany
Mexico*
United States*
Switzerland
Croatia

*if they qualify directly.

POT 3

Senegal

South Korea
Tunisia or Canada

The team ahead in the ranking on March 31, Canada or Tunisia, will be in Pot 3.

POT 4

Was extremely underwhelming for both play-off games, even for his 21/22 standards. You love to see it. Btw when was the last time Portugal beat a good team?

Cristiano Ronaldo is not with the #mufc squad tonight. Usual 21-man squad assembled with three keepers. [Samuel Luckhurst]

What is he gonna do Morten without CL football which looks like happening?

I'd say Porto, Sporting Lisbon, and PSG are the main options if he leaves. He could maybe go to one of the Milan clubs at a stretch or even Bayern or Chelsea at a far bigger stretch if Lewa or Lukaku leaves.

I wouldn't be surprised either if he stays and chills ahead of the WC and then tries to go somewhere in january for the knockout stages

sporting and porto have no chance to win the cl so i don't think he will go there, PSG is the option but he knows playing with Messi and Ney could lead to problems (freekicks, pens etc.) so he will probably stay at Manu to score some goals in PL and prepare for the most important competition in the world, the WC.

Tru. I’m sure he would like to leave if he could earn a similar wage and have a good shot at winning the CL elsewhere but he will probably end up staying another year rather since the options aren’t as great.

Wayne Rooney on Cristiano Ronaldo: “He's a goal threat but the rest of the game they need more, they need young hungry players.”
