Probably though it would be better to stay and claim the glory (even if he doesn't play) for a possible WC win, than to leave and miss the chance to do so.

Ronaldo knew.

Clear as day he left Juventus cause of the shady dealings. Chiellini involved as well. De Ligt left for same reasons.

They played what was arguably their best game of the WC so far with Ronaldo on the bench and Ramos having his 'breakout' international game. Why would you change the lineup just for Ronaldo?

Probably was too much of a coward to do that. Then the day turned out excellent for Portugal, with a clear path to the semis than can go either way vs France/England. Now he is posting about unity, team spirit and other bullshit on instagram.

The cunt sensed there might be a good chance Portugal go all the way to win it and is acting like the good team player. If they get dumped out expect him to revert to his usual cuntish behavior.
