Sounds like Ronaldo went rogue on that Piers Morgan interview. Pretty wild as Mendes had been his agent since he was at Sporting I think.
Sounds like his best friend is now his de-facto agent. Hope for his sake he doesn't squander his wealth and legacy because he's surrounded by yes-men who aren't professionals.
Worst thing most athletes do is not taking professional advice and facing the harsh truth. Surrounding themselves with yes-men or people just there to stroke their egos that won't stop them from making terrible decisions whether it's career moves or investments.

I'm serious. A number of professionals who lived by their profession have taken retirement very harshly, all the way down to suicide in some outlier cases.
