Poor Di Stefano. Much more important than cr for rm, can't even compare them.

Ronaldo is a better player than Di Stefano ever was. You can't find a superior aerial or long range player to Ronaldo, he is the best counter attacker in history. He is among the most gifted and natural two footed players. He was once a phenomenal dribbler, his passing is underrated as he is always a leader at Madrid in chances created and assists. He can provide creative and deadly decisive final balls as well as anybody who ever played. His contributions and productivity compared to Puskas and Di Stefano is off the charts. Ronaldo accounted for 20 of Madrid's 26 goals or 77% in the 15/16 Champion's League. His finishing, left foot skill, power, leaping ability, peak free-kick ability, passing, dribbling (trickery-footwork) and agility are all elite. I can admit Ronaldo has declined but his record is unprecedented. Ronaldo's average season at Madrid is 50 goals and 15 assists. Players like Zidane, R9, Raul Hugo etc. never achieved a fraction of what Ronaldo has accomplished.

Take into consideration the fact that Ronaldo has played with three/four entirely different sets of midfield attacking partners in just 7 years and you see how fast Ronaldo had to adjust and build relationships and chemistry with dozens of players without his production suffering. Ronaldo and Benzema have been the only attacking players that have lasted at Madrid. There have been close to 40 different midfielders in Ronaldo's years in Spain. This reality is never taken into the equation. I know other legends like Eusebio, Pele, Messi, Di Stefano etc. all had much more stability over their careers. There is no substitute for familiarity as evidenced by Spain and Germany's international results with the bulk of their team coming from one club. Portugal '66 was all Benfica stars as another example.

Here's a quick snapshot of the radical transformations in Madrid's line-ups, many players have come and gone so this is an approximation of the general lineups Ronaldo has predominately played alongside.

2009-2010

-------------------------Higuain/Benzema----------------

--------------------------------Raul--------------------------

-Ronaldo-------------------Guti/Kaka--------------Van der Vaart/Drenthe---

---------------------Alonso---------Lass Diarra-------------

2011-2013

----------------------Benzema/Higuain/Adebayor---------------------

----Ronaldo-----------------Ozil/Granero------------Di Maria/Callejon----

---------------------Alonso/Essien------Khedira/Gago-------------

2013-2016

---------------------------Benzema/Chicharito/Morata----------------

--------Ronaldo---------James--------------------Isco-------------Bale/Jese------

------------------------Kroos----------------Modric/Casemiro------------

Now in 2016/17 there is Assensio, Vasquez, and Lucas Silva. Chemistry obviously takes years to develop in most cases but what Ronaldo has done is nothing short of legendary. With all these different players he also had different managers with completely different systems and tactics. Barcelona managers employ the same system as the last where every player is groomed to play the Barca way. Madrid has no such identity and Ronaldo's performances never suffered no matter who was phased in or out. Messi has had some adjustments here and there from season to season but he has never had complete overhauls where this season's Barcelona bears little resemblance to last year's.

Di Stefano even said Madrid should pass his torch to Ronaldo and build a stadium bearing his name.

Ronaldo may or may not be a better player or a goal scorer than Steffano , but his contribution in making Madrid a superior force is not more than what Steffano did . Don't try to bring out his assist count . Has been watching him for many years and i know how he accumulates assists . Two of the three assists in Euro cup sums up his creativity .Madrid has always been a counter attacking team , and that won't change regardless of any manager . And there is no system in the world that works their ass of to feed one player . So don't even try to drag Messi in to your argument to defend penaldo .Barcelona has never been a team that played a style of football in a way that world will end if you don't feed Messi for a day . Nor did Messi played under world class managers like Ronaldo ,except for Pep . even if Madrid changes their midfield ever year , Ronaldo is still their target man and will throw those crosses and passes in to box fo feed him . Sums up Ronaldo scoring 50 goals a season ,despite taking large chunks of shots more than any in Europe .

Barca's manager was Tito when they won La liga with 15 points difference over special one Mourinho's Madrid . Mourinho's midfield had Di Maria , ozil , Alonso working their ass of to feed Ronaldo . Still he couldn't inspire them to a La liga win , were as Messi with serious of injurys lead them to title win ( since you mentioned Ronaldo was leader of their attack with assists , chances created or whatever stupid stepovers and trickery's ) . This was When Ronaldo was at his peak , not when he declined . Dude couldn't even manage to lead Real to number 2 spot when Barca was managed by deluded Tata Martino .

Messi started his career as winger and then he played as false nine ( Not even genuine striker ,who stays inside box without involving in build up play . Messi had a different role as false nine ) under Pep . With Lucho he has been playing in wings and drifting in to Cam or whatever position depending on how well the midfield is playing . It's not as easy to be part of a system . First thing you need is discipline , and second intelligence and awareness of your teammates strengths and weaknesses . Messi has everything . Selfish players would never survive in a well organized system . So you need to credit a player for being disciplined ,playing in a system for a decade .

is he the best goalscorer of his era ? . No

was he the best creative winger of his era ? . No

How many La Liga did he won for Madrid , was it more than De steffano ? . No

Did he ever had a Final or a semi final .were he literally destroyed the opponents like Messi vs Utd in 2011
R9 vs Germany in 2002
Ronaldinho Vs Milan in 2005-06
zidane vs Brazil
Iniesta vs Juve

was he the major contributor in Real's last two Cl success . ? No it was Ramos .

Ronaldo was never a phenomenal dribbler , even in his peak days what he was known for was getting past one or two with his step overs . Dribbling in close areas with 4-5 around him was never his cup of tea .

His Passing is decent at best . No he was not a player you can categorize among the best , when it comes to delivering deadly final passes

These all are myths created by fan boys like you

Lol. cr better than Di Stefano. rm history would be quite different without di stefano. He was much more important than cr will ever be, even more as he is almost 32, and won't win as much as di stefano did. The media hype machine is real.
