He is not their best player. He is their best goal poacher though. Marcelo and Modric are probably their best players. Guys like Benzema, Casemiro work their asses off for the team.

They could sell Ronaldo and bring in Mbappe. It would be a risk but well worth it. Ronaldo has two good seasons left in him. Might as well cash in.

Agreed, those talking about "best player" are a little bit deluded: it is true if you say "best striker", but as football players, many from Real Madrid performed better and more consistently than him this season.
Real basically comfortably won any single game they played without him.

No surprise though for all of this, media once again did their job perfectly.

The deluded ones are the ones that try to make him out to just be a poacher.

If it was as easy as that there would be plenty of players matching his goal record.

He is one of if not the best of all time with his movement off the ball and will deserve world player of the year this year and is Reals best player. It isnt even close.

Funny how Gerd Muller never had half the consideration for doing the same things that current Cristiano does on the pitch.
And, flash news, he was much better than Cristiano at doing them.

Indeed, what you described are the characteristics of a fantastic striker, who however plays in a fantastic team which is built to suit him best.
A team that could allow to rest him for so many games in this season without breaking a sweat, so that he could arrive at the crucial part of the season well rested and thus show his great abilities of striker that nobody is denying.
But the very fact that they could do this and that the very same team always performed amazingly without him on multiple occasions shows that there are many player in Real Madrid who are as good or even better than him but they just have a different purpose in the economy of the squad so they will never being as flashy as him, who has the very "infamous" role of scoring goals and finalizing the absurd number of chances the attacking machine which is the team he has at his back produces every game (and he is very good at that, nobody is denying).

But come on, pick your super fabolous world best player Cristiano and force him to play deep in midfield, organizing and creating the game for his team like Modric for 60 games/year, and STILL score 50 goals, otherwise everybody would say that he is failing or he is finished. And, obviously, he should do that in a worse overall team than current Real Madrid.
I would love to see that because that's what Messi has been doing the whole year. Then we would see how the supposed "world best" player would be so fesh to always cut the space and run in the box to score his glorified goals.

Gerd Muller won the balon dor and Ronaldo has more to his game than he did.

What I described is someone who is not just a poacher. If it was that easy others would be doing what he is doing and they arent.

Messi plays nothing like Modric and I prefer Messi to Ronaldo.

Modric is not even close to being as good or important to Real as Ronaldo is. Ronaldo is their best player and not even close. Be delighted when he leaves.

Muller won once, Cristiano won 5. Cristiano overall is not 5 times the player Muller was, and he HAD more on his game 4-5 years ago, not today.

Never said he was just a poacher, never said what he does is easy.

Messi SHOULD not play anything like Modric but many times he was forced to because our midfield is shit.

Midfield which, strangely, is the strongest part of Real Madrid squad, with so many world class players such a Modric, Kroos, Isco, the contribution of a beast such as Marcelo, etc. etc. And, in all of this, Modric is the main man. Strikers are served by the midfiled, if the midfield is shit, the team sinks and the striker won't do shit. Midfield is the reason Barcelona as team was unstoppable back then and midfield is the reason Real Madrid destroyed Juventus in the CL final.

So yes, Modric is not even close NOT TO being as good or important to Real as Cristiano is. They are equally important for different reasons. The idea of Ronaldo being the absolute Real Madrid best, miles away from the other poor peasants which compose the team is pure bullshit.

Winning something five times compared to once doesnt mean someone is five times better ffs.

Muller also played at a time when the game was not concentrated with the best players in the world in europe and was not even the best player in his own team.

Messi doesnt play like Modric at all and he and Ronaldo play different roles and prefer Messi but Ronaldo deserves it this year.

Modric isnt the main man. Ronaldo is and is their best most decisive player.

Just as neither Xavi or Iniesta were better than Messi.

Ronaldo is a complete forward-striker. You can say he is a striker, but not a poacher, which is a specific type of striker, who scores specific type of goals mostly. Inzaghi was a poacher for example, his goals were often similar. Ronaldo on the other hand, can score a lot of goals in a different way.

Ronaldo has a vast arsenal of shooting, heading, ball striking techniques. He is the player with one of the cleanest ball striking technique I've ever seen in fact. His movement and anticipation when around the box is also at an all time great level. He pulls defenders around and is impossible to mark when he is in a good mood.

Ronaldo is a more complete striker. Messi is a more complete player.

Who would you support if Ronaldo went to another team and that team meets Real Madrid in a CL final?

silly question. any self-respecting cule would favour real's opponent. in fact, it would be hilarious if, by virtue of ronaldo scoring, real lost this hypothetical final. we would laugh about it for days.

If they sell him, imo, there is no way that they will win a CL.

Some people question Cr7's ability, but he brings motivation, some kind of leadership, huge know how in key moments, some luck, respect from referees and opponents, and insane level of luck (which comes from his motivation and know how in key moments).

Remove Cr7, and they will play more fluid against midtable teams.
But, remove Cr7 and they will lose in quarters of a CL against any random team named Atletico, Juve, Bayern etc.

And they will surely stop banging goals in the 90th minute over and over.
Just wait and see.

But they won't sell him this summer, imo.

All of the sudden, based on his last 4, 5 games in the CL, people believe that RM will be crippled in the next season and will be left with no chances to win trophies? lol
Weren't we crippled without a good midfield this season??? Why we lost the trophies? Because we didn't have Ronaldo? We have a players that scored more goals in la liga than Ronaldo did, yet we lost the league.
One of these scored 12 more goals and has more assists! And that is the player who is not characterized as typical striker and is much more evolved in game play.

If he's leaving RM, I really don't care at all, in fact I'm glad, mostly because I can't stand the guy. I also believe RM is great team w/o him and if they manage to bring Mbappe and teams clicks right, they could continue current form.
In fact his departure could open up even more freedom for some players and I mean that mostly in psychological terms.

Be that as it may, you cannot deny that losing Ronaldo would blunt Real's attack. He does score crucial goals. Without him they would not have repeated the CL. But if they can unload him for a massive fee, well, that's understandable too, given his age.
