Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

he was so happy there, it's a bit adorable  he'll always be a little drama queen, but Ronaldo's far more likeable now, at least for me. He's matured since his manchester scumbag years.

Far more likeable? He took an amazing demolition of Bayern and made it all about himself. I loved him at United, now he is so egotistical that even his own fans boo him.

Messi wouldn't have made such a big deal about the record. I don't even remember what he did when he set it at 14. Probably just his usual celebration.

I used to hate Ronaldo, but I've become really appreciative of how hard he works on the pitch. The only thing that bothers me is his ego, but then again we all have egos, some bigger then the others, but egos nevertheless.

Really amazing how less talented he is from Leo, but he still keeps hanging on. His hanging on because of his dedication, I really admire that.

He is one of the 4 or 5 best players in the world, but when it comes to preening like a peacock, he's number one. Cheers to you, Crissy. :burp:

Record is really impressive

yet.. he did nothing to influence the tie. by the time he scored the tie was well over. when he had a chance to influence the tie in that missed one on one he did choke might you recall.

he's a great player, a great athlete, i admire his professionalism and work-rate, but he's annoying the fuck out of me. his '15' celebration shows how much he actually cares about individual success, no matter how many times he tries to hide it in interviews and say that he wants to win for the team, that his team is important, he clearly only started having fun after scoring his 15th goal, like a huge burden was taken off of his chest, because that's what he cared about. like before the ballon d'or he said he didn't give much attention to it, but then he cried like a bitch because he couldn't hide that he was dreaming of ballon d'or. his luck will run out, and we'll see sad ronaldo again.

I dont think its about Messi. Every player would be very happy (actually, thats an understatement) about breaking such record. It took DECADES for Messi to break a record that was set in 1963 (Van Nistelrooy matched it in season 02/03). Who knows how long it will take to break Ronaldos record?

It took Ronaldo DECADES to score 40 league goals to break the la liga record.

The next season Messi scored 50 without giving a single fuck, without a monkey celebration, he went to shake Guardiolas hand.

I understand this is Barcaforum but some of the criticism levelled at Ronaldo is ridiculous. Sure he's got an ego like a portable radio, but so what? For me he's probably the most complete player of his generation and probably one of the best athletes alive today.

And he'll never do anything as odious as this:
