Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

A match without a CR7 goal. It feels so different and almost weird. After his streak i have mentally decided that he will score every match 1 or 2 goals. I did not see the match but i guess he played shit. Except last match and 1 or 2 other matches he has been like that entire season. Goals are just covering his performance like our clean sheet record at the start of the season. These la liga teams give him too much space and goalies are shit.

I didnt see a lot of difference in his usual play, normaly he is slightly better at passing and dribbling but overal his first touch, vision, passing skills are mediocre at best and it showed last night, mainly due to that record that got into his head and he surprisingly choked a little, also brought out his worse flaws: Playing for himself( he would indead rather have lost 3-2 and scored twice), Not celebrating a team mate's goal (why do they even celebrate his is anyone's guess, I certainly wouldnt since it makes him look selfish and ungrateful), diving, begging for a penalty for his own glory when the ball was clearly outside, getting frustrated blaming everyone but himself and unsportmanlike behaviour to avoid shaking hands at the end.
All in all a very selfish classic Ronaldo performance, major difference being he didnt score, normally he would get 1/2 goals and newspapers be heading how the cl goat made Madrid cruise by pool to greatness with all the flaws being overlooked.

The reason by the way he doesnt get critisized as Messi for example is that he isnt hold to a higher standard and its his maximum level, so as long as he keeps scoring he is fine, Messi gets destroyed if he doesnt influences the game with goals and assists and an overall great game since thats has been shows to be his maximum level.
He should be really happy with Benzema, no striker in the world is that selfless and gives a ton of easy chances on a silver platter.

Florentino said something like Ronaldo is alongside the great Di Stefano as the greatest players that have played for Madrid.... To even mention his name alongside Di Stefano is facepalm worthy.

Why not? It's not like he said Ronaldo is even better than Di Stefano. All he said is that he's a Madrid club legend, which he is.

Cristiano Ronaldo received his third Golden Shoe from newspaper MARCA and European Sports Media (ESM) at Hotel Meliá Castilla in Madrid.

The Portuguese star was joined at the ceremony by teammates such as Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale as well as Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.
"I didn't expect so many people. I'd like to thank everybody, firstly my teammates, this wouldn't be possible without them. Also my family, the supporters and Real Madrid for giving me the chance to play for the best club in the world and win these trophies. The team is important, but the individual is too. I work very hard for this team", he revealed.

Maximum ambition

"I always try to do well. My statistics have been very good in the last five years. The last two have been a little better. Being the best in Portugal isn't enough for me. I want to be the best ever. When I finish my career I want to look back at the figures and see if I'm among the best".
"Everyone is speaking about the best Real Madrid squad; we'll find out further down the line. If we don't win anything, that won't be the case. On an individual level, I'm happy, I'm in good form. We have to make the most of this good run and continue it until the end of the season".
"Maybe we're getting a bit more of the ball which is good. We're causing teams damage because of that and creating more chances, but the system itself is basically identical".

He surely has the greatest ego ever. On that he is unbeatable.
