Honestly I don't think there was anything wrong with what he did. It wasn't like he was pointing/looking/gesturing at Bale when he was upset, he simply looked down and probably spouted out a few curse words. He is just very competitive, that's it.

I'll venture to say that he hasn't played spectacularly since the World Cup, maybe even since the knee injury before that. He's been scoring goals, yes, but his overall play hasn't been as good as it could be.
