I don't like cristiano but people go way overboard to criticize him. Everyone with a decent brain knows that messi is more talented than Ronaldo and also messi has more variety to the game. Ronaldo is most efficient when a team is working for him, the way real is playing today even Ronaldo at peak couldn't have done much. Ronaldo gameplay is about off the ball movement and athleticism. He cant play like messi and create chances and dribble the way to the goal. He is not that kind of player, but when they have a good midfield he is probably the most efficient player on the level of messi in goal scoring. Not saying Ronaldo is a better finisher and scores awesome goals but ronaldo compensates with his athleticism and off the ball movement to gain the same results.
Real are playing very bad recently, almost pathetic. It is unfair to blame it on cristiano when none of their players are playing good.
Anyway let me switch on the cule button, i cant believe what he said after the match. Arrogant brat this cristano, cant lead his team only cares about his stats. He is having a horrible year so far, his attitude is also becoming unbearable. I hope he kicks or punches someone and gets banned for 10 games. Oh wait! It is ronaldo so max 3 games no matter what he does, the idea of repeat offender does not apply to him. He starts on a clean slate every match.

Truth, the reason people criticise him so much is just because his brat attitude. We as Barca fans praise Benz all the time for example.

I criticise him since I consider him to be overrated as hell as a footballer, really respect his goalscoring abilities, longetivity, positioning, runs and work ethic, he also seems like a nice person outside of the pitch.
On the pitch though I dislike him because of how he is and how he carries himself.
Also the flipside to not criticising him cause of team failure is not praising him alone based on team performances, like the cl win as the best example, yet when he fails the team is to blame like during the wc.

Only real madrid fans will praise his CL final performance. I am sure given the chance people here would use the fact that Portugal did not cross group stage to prove their points. The bias goes both ways and it is perfectly logical, who wouldn't pass on a chance to mock rival teams best player. Real are a mess right now and it is not ronaldo's fault that they are playing like that. I blame it mostly on carlo, his stubbornness to not rotate cost them dearly. They can still come back and win the title but they have to be lucky (some calls from flo can ensure that i think)
Anyway why am even trying to defend this douche, i am off to sleep.

It would have been blown up by now. I didn't see anything on any of the La Liga football accounts I follow either.
Madrid media has made it clear that Carlo's successor is Zidane. I'm sure they and Perez would have no problem throwing him away after this season if they don't win trophies. He is doing amazing with Castilla but they play in the 3rd division. Thats a huge difference from the 1st team.

It's Ancelotti's fault for not playing Nando, Isco, and Varane more often. But the fact that some people say Ronaldo is playing the game of his life is just plain ignorance. Ronaldo may not be at fault but all the praise he gets is just one of Madrid's little games.

If he answered the question and said he did it to provoke/troll the home crowd you could say he was just being honest without any false political correctness. But saying to the reporter that he's not intelligent for asking a simple question is really just him being a dick.
I hope journalists would ask him more about the stuff he does on the pitch (his celebrations, his individual performances, diving antics etc) because his on-the-pitch attitude screams he doesn't give a fuck as he's personally never confronted with them. He clearly can't handle these things without his PR specialists.
He gets very easily frustrated, both on and off the pitch.
