It's a 27 players pre-squad, there will be only 3 GKs on final 23-team. Most of the other teams are doing the same when preparing for Euro.

I'm curious how far can Croatia get in EURO 16.. Current team is probably as good as 98 team when they finished 3rd in WC.. Doubt they could win EURO but they will be dangerous..

Oh, I think we are step down from that team both in terms of quality, coach and motivation.

Boban, Asanović, Prosinečki were probably best midfield in the World on their day and we had Šuker up-front. Our defense Simic-Stimac-Bilic was made of steel. If Boksic (our best striker that year) wasn't injured we could have won it.

I won't even compare Blažević and Cacic as managers.

And motivation to play for Croatia in the 90s was second to none.

Srna will play on a right side, like Alves in Barca.
Vrsaljko isn't the brightest guy and Croatia will be weakened once when Vrsaljko will play as a starter instead of Srna, a captain and generally a very smart player.

Terrible news came after today's game. Our captain's Darijo Srna's father died while he was playing against Turkey. Just awful.

My condolences to him and his family.

Today is the best I've seen us play in a long, long time. Either that or Turkey was unambitious. Anyway, great start to the competition, I actually have a good feeling about this. In the 2012 Euros we had both finalists, Italy and Spain in our group, and we played very well against both. Very unlucky to have to pass those two to exit the group. Now we're in a bit more comfortable position.
