Goodbye Dani, thanks for all!

I doubt we can find a proper replacement to him.

The best rightback in his generation.

Absolute legend. Was one of my favourite players when he played for Sevilla so when we signed him it was like a dream and the rest is history!!!! Thank you for everything and good luck!

He posted his goodbye on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/BGKN-9ZOH0N/

Should be translated soon. The ending was nice. he said he'll be back, because he is one more cule.

“In one month it will be eight years since my arrival at FC Barcelona. In July 2008, I joined this club and I took the kit in which I have lived the most important accomplishments of my career. From day one, from the first training under the orders of Pep Guardiola, until the last of this last season, I have had the fortune to passionately enjoy my football.

I have dozens, hundreds, of images recorded in my mind of moments shared with you at the Camp Nou and on the streets of Barcelona… many goal celebrations, and happiness at winning titles. I am a privileged, honoured worker and footballer, whom life has allowed me to wear the shirt of the best club in the world in a prodigious decade for the quality of its players and coaches.

I could mention one by one all the extraordinary people with whom I have had the pleasure of overcoming challenges and difficulties in the many ways that have been presented throughout this time, but I prefer to give them a set thanks, because in the Barcelona locker room there is no room for individuality: We all win, we all lose. And we work together. And pulling the ship, presidents, ‘misters’ (managers) coaching staff, club workers … all of them thank you very much because they have always rewarded my efforts with their trust and support.

With this letter I just wanted to let you know that I made the decision to seek a new challenge in my career, because you have to know when the finish each stage at the correct time. And my point is this. I go, but I will return, because I’m a culé more.

Thanks for making me feel loved.”

Alves will regret leaving, anyway Welcome Hector Bellerin.

Don't think he will. I recall him mentioning recently that he's not that much into the football world and hates many things about it, and that he dreams of getting into the fashion business or something. Don't think he's that eager to win any more CL medals. he'll win two or three Scudettos with a great club like Juve, then happily retire.

I remember how hopeful I was when we signed Dani because we totally missed something as RB with Zambrotta, and he was exactly the player I wanted for that position at least since the 2006 UEFA Cup campaign and final ( He was MoM then I think ).

Yeah I feel sorry, totally, but his time came, we now need to refresh, damn 8 years past so fast, he was very nice to stay since we had the transfer ban so this is a fair trade, to let him go for free now if he likes.

What sucks is that we were already looking for cover at LB. Now we need it at RB too. I know Roberto and Vidal are options but I'm not sure the club is satisfied with the current depth there.

He was a big influence in making us who we were today since the pep days. Absolute legend on and off the pitch. Was a very different personality compared to most footballers and in a good way.Went downhill badly in the tata martino season but came back soon. Has to be one of the biggest big game players for barca. Had he stayed this season too I wouldn't have been surprised if he gave a world class performance against a big team. Loved him and will miss him. We won't be getting anything like him anytime soon.Stay exactly like you are alves wherever you go. Will miss you.
