Apparently told he can leave Man Utd. A funny old player is Welbeck, he's got that air of Thomas Muller about him, not technically world class but able to cause the opposition problems by finding space and effectively working the channels. Honestly thought it would be Hernandez who would face the door though. I can see him fitting in well at Spurs, Southampton, Everton or Liverpool. Hull said to be interested.

N.B. In no way am I really comparing Welbeck to Thomas Muller.

We need his pace and link up play, i am shocked we are even considering it. Not to mention he is an academy player and from the area :angry:

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; I'd rather get rid of RVP and Rooney than I would Welbeck. He's our most dangerous player and always causes the opposing teams problems. He's lightning quick and stretches the opposition better than any of our other players. It's madness this is seemingly even a possibility.

I'd be gutted to see him go, I really would. He's far too good for the likes of the teams being mentioned though, so hopefully it's a non-starter. Hernandez should be the dead wood we are getting rid of, I love him as a person, but he's the one just not good enough for us.
