It still amazes me how some people treat the Suarez bite incidents as something so awful it defies humanity. It's just a bite folks, not even a hard bite considering he never even drew blood. You'd think Suarez took out a knife and carved opponents flanks and had a sit-down meal on the field, Hannibal Lecter style.

So you'd forgive other more despicable acts because "hey, they apologized" but then elevate a bite to the heights of some monstrous proportions.

Nevermind we don't actually know these people on a personal level, so to judge who is or is not a good human being really strikes as shallow at best.

He was never charged with racism and maintained his innocence so why would he apologise. As for the biting it is terrible but it is him reacting wrongly in a split decision on the pitch.

From what I have read about Suarez he is a much better guy off the pitch than the likes of Rooney, Giggs, Keane etc who act in a joke of a way which for me more reflects someone I wouldnt respect as a human.

He got banned for 8 games and a £40,000 fine. He was guilty and he came up with Bullshit stories which were actually quite laughable. He can't stand up and take his actions.

That was a joke of a situation. His word against Evra's and somehow Evra's was word alone was enough to ban him. Ridiculous stuff. His story wasn't bullshit to all but those who want it to be.

Not to mention that Evra supposedly called him a "Sudaca" to begin with.

Agreed, i think its quite stupid actually. a little petty bite can in no way endanger someone's career, meanwhile cantona gets a yellow for this.

The FA and Evra both accepted Suarez was not racist.

It was the word of one player against the other and good on Suarez for not apologizing if he thinks Evra spoke shit.

Did Peter Schmeicel apologize for being racist towards Ian Wright....only difference is Wright didnt take it any further after the game.

Well, the thing is, Suarez never actually apoligized for the biting, he even tried to play it down by saying he didnt bite or whatever. Even afterwards when he couldnt deny it anymore, he said that the players he did bite was responsible for him biting them as well. Isnt that pretty fcked up?

This argument has been done over and over again. It was proven that Suarez was guilty. I am not going to carry on this stupid debate, lets move on to de gea.

He has been thinking of Madrid recently, not on the ball as much. Shame.

Wasn't it the case that he said that those players had "provoked" him by doing the little things defenders do to piss off or unsettle opposition attackers (tugging his shirt, pushing. etc.).

I don't remember the interview in its entirety, but I don't recall him shifting all of the blame on to the other players.

If he did do that as many sources seems to suggest, i think thats pretty fcked up, really.

He did apologize though. He's said he felt ashamed and has realized the full weight of what he did. Saying Chiellini shares some blame doesn't lessen his apology nor his wrongdoing. There was a provocation and there was a reaction.

He was not trying to blame Chiellini for the bite just trying to say that he was provoked and never did it for no reason at all.

But he has still taken full responsibility for it and it being wrong.

I think its quite petty to say that, and it absolutely lessen his apology imo.

Does it bother you that Zidane tries to blame Matterazi for the head butt and has never apologized to him?

Suarez did apologize to Chiellini.

Does it bother you that Ronaldo swings punches at a player.... doesnt apologize but blames the ref as being a cheat?
