That'd be a great deal for us if we weren't wasting so much on Martial..

How much exactly are we paying for Martial? I have seen figures ranging from 50-80 million Euros. Even 50 million Euros sounds about 25 million Euros too much for a player who has only had 6 good months in basically the fifth best league in Europe.

That's close to 60 million Euros if you consider Navas's valuation, which is incredible for a goalkeeper in the last year of his contract.

Navas is not worth 20m.

He is a decent keeper and had a good WC and season at Levante but for me he is not top class and cant see anyone wanting to pay 20m for him.

Would bet anything Man Utd will think they need a new keeper next summer and Navas doesnt cut it.

BBC are reporting the fee as 36 million but french sources are reporting 80 million including add-ons which is totally insane...

Its £36mil with possible add on's. In euros that's about €45mil, unsure about Monaco's tax rates, etc etc etc

Man Utd really panicking now.

Unreal how from all this they will end up with Navas as their GK and are scrambling to pay huge money for a teenage striker.

Yeh, I feel for Keylor. Don't think the EPL is an ideal fit for him. He's an upgrade over Romero in terms of agility and reflexes, but comes with poor aerial game, he parries away shots more than he catches. He'll have to greatly improve on the aforementioned aspects, because once the opp. figure him out they will look to exploit these weaknesses. It's like ManU will have half a keeper in both.

As a sample for the ManU fans, here's keylor's time in LL

Navas accepts. De Gea deal done!! €40m all-in. £29m. Manchester United happy - near record for player with 1 year left

Navas will flop again, he's not the right fit for a team dominating possesion, he is great when playing for a team that parks the bus but I don't see that happening with LVG at United.

Glad it's done with. Would have hated to see him do a Vidic and sign a contract with that mob midway through the season. The fee does look incredible really considering Real could have had him for free in 4 months time. Guess the fear of missing out on the Euros may have made De Gea ask Madrid to push the boat now itself.

"Real Madrid will pay 30 million for Manchester for the transfer of David De Gea. [Marca] And if nothing is twisted, Keylor Navas will end up at Manchester United in another parallel operation. The transfer of Keylor Navas to the United is close. The price will be around 12-15 million."
