Think people are missing the implications of this. Sure, it's fun to poke at Real, but United just lost 30m, a potential improvement at keeper, while further spoiling their relationship with DDG and Mendes. Now he'll leave for free next summer and Mendes will have an axe to grind.

Poorly handled all around.

Yes it's a shame we are going to have to do with Valdes/Romero for the next four months and we're going to miss out on a substantial amount of money. But Feck Mendes. I'm glad our dealings with this c*nt are soon to be over and hopefully he would have taken a huge hit on this as well. Also, feck De Gea. The stands at Old Trafford await him.

Mendes is also Martial's agent. He's getting the last laugh I think, and in the future when his best players are looking for destinations and United comes calling he may chose to laugh again.

No he's not. He's an advisor at Monaco, has nothing to do with Martial.

I don't think United care about the money. They're loaded and barely spent this summer besides Martial. The other transfer were made up with the money from players they sold.

It does make them look unprofessional though.

He's an advisor at Monaco but doesn't have anything to do with Martial? My mistake.

Martial is managed by Mondial Sport who also have the likes of Cavani, Coutinho, Varne and Matic as their clients. Unless you think they are all handled by Mendes as well, then no, Mendes has nothing to do with him.

I think people are forgetting that the fault lies with RM, not Man Utd who did their job.

They had 3 months to agree a fee with us. Their lowballing us all summer has seriously put De Gea's season in danger now while also making their own goalkeeper feeling unwanted. It's amazing how United can be blamed for any of this.

Cavani, Coutinho, Varane and Matic play for Monaco?

But is he a madrid player now?? I mean he must've signed the contract with them, they just failed to register him. Doesn't that make him a real madrid player just like we signed Vidal and Turan??

But weren't you guys insisting on a massive fee for a GK on his last year and then Ramos? Both were pretty impossible. Plus I read that the two sides only started talking today after initial almost a month so you guys obviously wanted to recoup some money from DDG.

Madrid have no reason to want Dave besides him being Spanish. Its not a vital position for them. Keylor may feel shitty about the situation but he now has a season long audition for another team to buy him next summer. Meanwhile you guys have a GK who already has his next team picked out while under the possibility of not even playing, Valdes who hasn't played in a year and a half and the walking accident waiting to happen Romero.

Madrid fans may seem petulant about it not going through but I 100% believe its Man Utd getting the short end of the deal if the sale doesn't go through.

Arent the two transfers seperate? If we got out papers in time would be hilarious ending up with both. Perez getting his brown envelopes ready.

Villarato!
Looks like I've missed a cracker when at work

Whoever was at fault on the paperwork side, they're getting a a sack, lol. If I was Keylor I'd be shrewd about it and delay contract negotiations it on purpose just to fuck with the world

In all honesty, I don't care whether it's through or not. I don't know how it impacted Keylor in the last 24 hours, I generally feel sorry for him to have to go, but I think he's smart enough to understand. De Gea on the other hand... He might be a mess if it doesn't work out.

Can they technically arrange to not register the keepers for Champions League group stages so that they can transfer them in January? Seems like an plan B. But then again no point cuz De Gea can sign for free then. Oh well.
