Lol this couldn't have been further than the truth. De Gea has rather tried to unsuccessfully lure Thiago and Cesc to us. Many fans thought he was either going to fail or he was going to push for a move for Real/Barca when established but he seems to have become a huge fan favourite.

I believe he will stay for another contract, how long after that though who the fk knows. The fans believed him in all the way through the rough and the smooth - he seems happy. All the top clubs at the moment have excellent keepers, except Madrid, would an atleti boy move there? Thats the question.

He does seem to really like it at United and I believe we could potentially have him for the rest of his career. However, he's no doubt got high ambitions, and being a top keeper he'll want to achieve them. He's already done one season out of the CL and I think we really have to finish in the top four this season, otherwise he might be tempted to look elsewhere, which would be understandable IMO.

He might be of to Madrid at the end of the season though and would make them invincible, but we should offer him wages as much as Rooney's as he is our most important player, DDG makes up for our crap defence.
