Need to sell millions of shirts? This is why big clubs go to Asia in some preseasons, boost popularity to make $$$. China alone has 1 billion people, let alone including all of Asia. Include other countries, it's very possible for there to be millions of shirt sales for a single player if he's popular enough. ESPN reported years ago that Beckham made 300m pounds for RM in 4 years, don't know if anyone tried to debunk that, but ESPN don't really report rubbish, they are pretty reliable.

ESPN aren't that reliable IMO ,and it is possible they count the amount of money that selling shirts sold for not RM share
and they are selling a lot ,but not enough ,clubs makes around 10-20 Euros from each shirt ,they don't sell millions of shirt yearly ,may be 1 or 1.5M but that it
those players contributes in many ways to get money to the club ,stars are what gets you friendlies ,sponsorship etc but selling shirts can't get you 100M in 1 year ,that is a fantasy dude

I think worldwide mutiple millions of shirts would be sold each year, and if they make say 20 per shirt, 2 million makes what, 40m? Shirts alone wouldn't make up a Ronaldo price tag but it's still a lot of money. Money for all the other things he does would make up a decent amount too. As a whole I do reckon the club would have made his transfer money back rather quickly in the end. They can afford to spend 100m, and they'll be critisized less than a club like PSG because of this. PSG wouldn't be able to do it, which is what my original point was anyway.

David Luiz is not worth 50 million but he does get underrated. Yes, he has lapses of concentration from time to time and his errors are far more glaring but he has grown in the last year or so. He has been better as a defender than Thiago Silva when he played for Brazil. Those two have formed a formidable partnership for us and I can see the same happen for PSG since they have good chemistry already.

So... how much does he get to feed his family?

Btw, is it just me or is Mou a master at ripping clubs off? 70m for Ibra and now 50-60m for Luiz

Regardless, he ain't no GOAT defender, which is what his price suggests.

Depends who your selling, if Barca decided Iniesta or Messi was for sale. I think both who go for more money than Bale whereas if they sale Song and Mascherano I don't see teams breaking the bank for it.

Who would buy Iniesta for more than €100 million?

A certain French club based in the capital :p

If PSG, after having big problems with FFP, wanted to drop more than €100 million (plus whatever wages they'd need to throw at him) on a 30-year-old Iniesta after having already spent in the region of €50 million on Luiz, then they could have him as far as I'm concerned. But I can't see it happening.

Philippe Auclair, London based Journalist for the french radio RMC just said that "PSG got scammed by paying 49M euros, and that everyone in London is rolling on the floor laughing"

And i'm not even mad at him syaing that, because it's 500% true.
