No it's not...it's not a joke.

Sarcasm:

1.The use of irony to mock or convey contempt
- his voice, hardened by sarcasm, could not hide his resentment

witty language used to convey insults or scorn; "he used sarcasm to upset his opponent"; "irony is wasted on the stupid"; "Satire is a sort of glass, wherein beholders do generally discover everybody's face but their own"--Jonathan Swift

(sarcastic) expressing or expressive of ridicule that wounds

(sarcastically) in a sarcastic manner; "`Ah, now we're getting at the truth,' he interposed sarcastically"

Sarcasm is “a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter jibe or taunt.” Some authorities sharply distinguish sarcasm from irony, however others argue that sarcasm may or often does involve irony.

A form of humor that is marked by mocking with irony, sometimes conveyed in speech with vocal over-emphasis. ...

Lil' Dave is butthurt over being "the only victim" of the loss to Switzerland.

I lol.

he's not as good as Iniesta or Cesc in the middle, nor is he as good as Pedro, Navas, Cazorla or Mata out wide.

that's his big problem. he's a phenomenal player, but he's a hybrid. and if VdB wants a #10 he'll go with two players who are better there, and if he wants a winger he'll go with an actual winger rather than using Silva as a hybrid.

plus the emergence of Negredo as a legit starter means there's no room for him anyway. with Negredo at #9, Villa to his left, and Xavi, Busi & Xabi in midfield, there's only one slot left and that goes to Iniesta.

of course, one could argue that Xabi should come out for someone. and against most teams I agree, but that someone would either be Cesc to add more control to the middle or a winger to give Iniesta more centrality. and then there's the fact that when facing a team with a dominant #10, Xabi simply MUST be in the lineup.

basically: no room for Lil' Dave.

I found it weird when he said that, he didn't seem the kind of guy to hold a grudge, but yeah, as awesome as he is, I don't see how he can fit the starting lineup of Spain NT...

shame is that Silva probably won't even have a future in the Spain midfield given the fact that Pep is trying the 'playing midfielder' situation. I love the way things are looking now with a 4-man midfield. In 2 years that would be

Busquets
ThiagoIniestaCesc

with the latter tree having "free" positions which allows them to stroll around the pitch however they like. awesome pep. easily best AM in the premier league, after him comes Nasri.

He is one of my favorite non-barca players. We went for him 2 years back.He should have joined us back then rather than wasting his talents in Valencia.Had he joined us, he might have found it little bit easier to cement his place in NT.

He is probably the classier player outside Barca. Amazing control, passing and vision.

Epic assist today for City's second. The way he made 3 Everton defenders look like total fools and then came up with a brilliant through ball for Milner was just a sight to behold.
