Estel, don't take it personally man. Trust me, you just voiced their opinion and just cause they don't agree with it doesn't mean they didn't read your explanation.

There are ways to go for villa this summer. You make it sound as if villa is completely unrealistic. He isn't. Villa is the better player than fabiano and has been someone most cules have been dreaming about for several seasons. To quickly change that dream to luis fabiano as we go for our 3rd successive title is near impossible.

okay, people stop voting without looking at the reason I posted the poll FFS I do know Villa is the better player, what is wrong with u guys!? It's not a poll to find out who's the better player, it's just to ask who would be better targeted this summer!?

If your reason is just Villa is better than Fabiano, don't even bother yourselves to vote or post a comment saying "Villa is class" It's getting more and more a stereotype one

Personally, it wouldn't matter if this poll was about who would win Celebrity Ready-Steady-Cook, i'd always vote for Villa. Same goes for many others, my heart and mind is set on seeing the classiest striker in the world in my team, not a Brazilian party-boy, i've had enough of them.

I don't really see whats so bad about this poll. Both are transfer options.

But anyways... I believe that Villa is the better choice. As many of you said Villa is more accustomed, and will adapt much faster to playing the inside forward.
I say faster because he already has the proven chemistry with the core of our squad.

The fact that Villa would be a direct replacement to Henry doesn't necessarily take away Ibra (unless we are talking about finance.... in which that case I know nothing about)
Fabiano is a striker, a proven one at that, he would be directly competing with Ibrahimovic and take away from Bojan's development.

Villa is also more class... by that I want to say more professional. Villa had wanted a transfer last year, but respected Valencia's wishes to not move. He also acts very professionally in the media and is very gentlemen like. I haven't really read too much about Fabiano but already Villa is the more professional one in the press.

Anyways ultimately.... why Villa should be bought over Fabiano is that we are Mes Que Un Club. David Villa represents that philosophy very well. He is very active when it comes to helping charities and children. David Villa seems to have a similar character to our own Masia heroes such as Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Pep. They all share similar values and it will show on the field

edit: Just to pull one out of Madrid books. I think Villa can sell way more shirts than Fabiano, perhaps even enough to make up the difference

Yeah right... we have to be ashamed of ourselves for being supportive of our most expensive signing!! We have to be ashamed for not calling his head after his debut season!! We have to be ashamed of ourselves for wishing to sign a back-up striker instead of a Galactico signing!!

I'm not sure David Villa would fit the Galactico bill. The price-tag certainly would though.

A big name doesn't automatically make u a galactico. Firstly, Villa isn't being brought in to sell shirts. He is being brought in because he is one of the best at what he does, and what he does is what the club needs. You don't have to be the anti-madrid to win titles. Sometimes you need to make a big signing. We signed henry and after a season he came good and was crucial to our treble success.

He will be bought for his ability as a player to further contribute to what is already a brilliant side. If Pep, etc. felt it Isn't necassary, then it won't happen.

Exactly. I think it's important to point out though that Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo and Beckham were the best at what they did, I think in general, teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid have very different motives when it comes to signing players at the moment and at points in the past, obviously under Perez.

Villa can and has played in a more withdrawn role for valencia and plays it to good effect. He isn't a target man. He is very mobile, and although pedro is efficient in front of goal, the guy doesn't pass well. Against inter he kept receiving the ball, then passing it back to xavi. That was his play.

If you are saying villa will be for LW, then why are u suggesting we sign Fabiano? For LW too? It doesn't make sense..
