I would buy both without thinking twice.
If S04 won't use their buy-option on Todibo (which I expect to happen) then bring him back and let the coach decide in the preseason who between Todibo and Salisu is more ready to stay here next season. Loan the other one to get more experience. Pique, Upamecano, Lenglet, Todibo/Salisu would be a good CB rotation for next season then hopefully Pique will retire in 2021 and we can bring the other one back from loan. We might even decide to sell Lenglet in 2021 and bring another starting quality CB if we wouldn't have enough confidence in Todibo/Salisu to take over as a starter alongside Upamecano.
Or if Setien would want to play with 3 at the back we could even keep 5 CBs. But this needs to be decided before the season starts. I don't really like 3-5-2/3-4-3 and was absolutely against Setien utilising this system when he came in and used Roberto/Firpo as CBs in his first two games but if we would have enough CBs then it could work in some games. Still don't think it should be our primary formation though.
I sadly don't think we'll get either Upamecano nor Salisu (Abidal probably doesn't even know who he is).
I dont think we will get any of them either. I believe Upamecano will go to Arsenal and Salisu to Real, the deals are probably done. We are wasting our time, first all of january and now february to find a 6-month Suarez replacement.
Abidal is the worst sporting director we have had in a very long time IMO.

I heard his knee injury was as bad as Umtiti's (he was out for 4 months earlier last year due to a knee injury and was injured again around August).
Other than this knee concern, I'd say he is exactly what we need.

I don’t think pairing this guy with Todibo would be a good idea, both are very young and centerbacks tend to peak a bit early.
Both also strike me as great complementary CB’s. I would want a leader with Todibo , someone who can lead and organize the defense like T.Silva, Puyol, Vidic, Terry, etc. This is the profile we should target when we already have Todibo.

Are thing Eric Garcia type of CB. Who are your suggestions?
Can’t really think of any on the market right now... last year around this turn I thought De Ligt could turn into that kind of CB but has regressed.
