At least that should be waive off for actually taking the pain of selling him and buying back if not the add-ons for playing him now!

No,and that would have been probably agreed.Otherwise City would have just matched Villarreal deal and too him back for 3M.

Great, don't think he would be any good as a winger since he isn't a Barca type winger.

Is he a Barça style midfielder, though? I mean, as far as I've seen, he doesn't look like the type of player who can hold up the ball and keep a calm head when under heavy pressure in the middle of the park. Perhaps with time, while learning from the best...

Either way, I'll be surprised if he isn't mainly utilized on the wings.

If we want to give the #6 to a La Masia, player who will likely be a starter.

only one fits that fits the bill. :roberto:

Well joking aside I seen some Barca fans wanting Iniesta to take the #6 and let Denis have the 8.

Barca's future midfield has been assembled: Rafinha-Roberto-Denis. I wonder how many EL titles we'd win. Hopefully Unai is available when the time comes. :rafinha:

Denis is actually too good to be just a backup. Roberto is a utility player so he can get enough to minutes to continue his development. I hope Denis can steal some minutes from Raki and Iniesta and also provide cover on wings. Roberto and Denis should be our go to guys for rotations and substitutions. I am kinda excited for those two kids. Rafinha is a different story, if he stays fits he can get some rythm and form. But that is hard to happen so he will probably get very few minutes. Him and Arda would mainly feature as 80+ minutes subs just out of necessity.

Yeah, god forbid that we actually put some faith in a few youngsters. Verratti and Pogba or bust!!!

I don't think I have ever rallied for Verratti or Pogba (have I?). As a matter of fact, I'm and always been pro-youth, and welcome their integration at the senior level. However, given our financial constraints further augmented by stadium renovation, I fear the possibility of this board settling for our current youngsters (or some mediocrity) when the barca's spine (Busi-Iniesta-messi) retire/decline. May be the reality turns out differently, but it's understandable for a supporter to be faced with apprehension and worry when anticipating the picture long term. Even in the current context, I don't believe we can adequately replace our starting midfielders when the stakes are high. But yeh, I'm no expert, and I may well be proven wrong.
