Yeah, that Irureta team with Makaay, Tristan, Djalminha, Valeron,.. at the start of this century was really great. It's really sad to see them in their current state.

A real shame as it was a proper team back in the day and my favourite back then along with Baraja at Valencia was Valeron. He was a creative mastermind on the ball.

Relegated to Segunda B

2 years later, they concede a goal at 112 minute and lose promotion to Segunda against Albacete. A draw was enough to get promoted.
Tough luck for them

They are in the relegation zone in Primera RFEF after 8 rounds.

Good thing for them though is table is still very close so at the same time they're only 6 points away from promotion playoff.
