I speak spanish to some extent. I understand more than enough to get by, and i can get my point across. With exams finally finishing on thursday ill spend more time learning the language, since im looking to go away in mid summer.

As for catalan, i love the language but only know the fcb songs.

I speak Spanish fluently and also Catalan to a decent conversational standard, no problem watching the news, reading papers etc in Catalan or chatting to people but I would struggle in a business context for example. Here in the Valencia region they speak a dialect of Catalan (Valencià) which is a little different from standard Catalan but I can do a decent impression of it!

Been learning (not really) Spanish for 4 years now, went to Madrid and Barcelona last year, i can speak very broken and thought out Spanish and i need things to be repeated a few times to get the jist.

There's nothing like immersion when learning a language. On my way back from the sevilla game i spent the whole flight speaking to two spanish women and i picked up so much.
