When is the transfer fairplay rule kicking in?

Apparently there are lot of loopholes in FFP rules... So the clubs really aren't bothering much about those.

i've got my doubts about them too, even though all the clubs signed up to them.

uefa's stance on racism is the main cause of my doubt, cos to me at least, racism is worse than a privately owned company spending more than it can afford (in normal world rules), but;

uefa regularly impose punitive fines upon national fa's for racism - €40k for 35k bulgarians 'doing racism' at england players.
and club fines are even punier.

so if they're gonna take a similarly 'heavyhanded' :lol: approach to ffp, then there'll be €5k fines flying all over the place.

i expect strongly worded rebukes (think don logan - no, no no no no no no no - etc) a warning letter, small fine and no more.

here's hoping i'm wrong though.

Why? Super teams are what makes football fun.

Espanyol is about to be bought out by the same royal family that own Man City; the ones that have a net worth of 1 trillion dollars. If it actually happens, would you welcome the competition and inevitable inflation of wages they will bring?

tbh, i'm a bit meh about it.

i also feel a bit queasy when i see other united fans lauding it's introduction, cos invariably, it's not that they think it's any good, just that it's gonna cut some clubs off at the knees (if policed properly).
then again, those types tend to be ambivalent about our debt and owners, so i kind of disregard them as clueless fuckwits tbh.
still rankles a bit though

"yay, we can compete again, possibly, cos uefa want to level the playing field"

all very noble by uefa, but people gloating about it? not for me thanks.

i also disagree with your assertion that 'super teams make football fun' as well tbh.

It might just be the final blow in the coffin for Spanish football.
