Edin Dzeko

but Pep's main idea to go for Ibra was because he wanted some one to hold the ball up front, not lose the possession and help out the midgets to get their way past buses!!

how many forwards do Bayern want!?
Toni will definitely not come back, that is what Rummenigge confirmed in a live show on TV. Its also very likely that Klose will leave imo. Its ofc a good question what will happen to Gomez, but even if they keep him they would then have Olic, Gomez, Dzeko and Müller as forwards, with Olic and Müller being no pure center forwards but also work as wingers, inside forwards or trequartistas (Müller at least).

And how did that go? Did he help the team get their way past buses? NO! So it failed and we play a way better game without Ibra in the starting 11.

Its still really questionable if it indeed works out. One formation that was recently discussed in this forum was Bojan as CF and a line of Messi - Ibra - Pedro behind. That way it could actually work out. But our game seems to need a mobile CF to play the ball into space.

Don't know Valon... I'm not yet convinced to view it as a failed experiment!! We'll get to know next year anyway and Dzeko might still be available no?

@el-tren
what are the chances of him heading to Utd btw? you know with Fergi and his habit of signings the players who fucked him up :p

You have to ask Dzeko about it i guess. He isnt really linked to ManUtd afaik, but they should be a real contender if they are willing to pay the 40M. It has always been said that it is Dzekos dream to play for MIlan. However they dont seem to have the money for him. So if they are out, its prolly Dzekos decision where he would like to play the most.

Juve is also heavily linked to Dzeko, but i really dont see how Dzeko would want to go to Juve, regarding their situation (no CL qualification) anr their rivalry to Milan. Thats why i see a move to Bayern as fairly realistic. ManUtd however would be pretty tempting as well i guess ...

I'm sorry, valon, but we have 96 points gained almost exclusively against teams hiding out in their own half, and were a bunch of shitty refereeing decisions away from being in a second consecutive champions league final. the "zlatan fucked us" argument is monumentally ADD and based on the fact that he, while not being fit, was rubbish against inter and we've turned in two superb performances in his absence at villarreal and sevilla (but of course, rather than be positive and focus on bojan being brilliant, it's "oh zlatan is rubbish look how well we play without him!")

so far I can see the logic behind pep's move and our points total shows he's right. yes we've not been as magical as last season but we were always going to struggle to replicate that this year because 1. everyone was trying harder against us and 2. we never replaced henry and 3. iniesta's been injured/rubbish.

yeah zlatan can improve, and I believe he will improve. some of you lot obviously don't.

anyway, not too keen on signing dzeko however good he may be. he's already declared his love for another club, which is never something I like to hear from one of our signings

Kind of interesting how Ibra works like a nasty germ, spreading into countless of threads. ;)

If Dzeko ends up in an outfit other than English or German, I would be very surspised.

I'm glad that i see thread about Edin Dzeko and i will say soemthing because i know him very well. I know that bosnians cant be realistic when we speak about Dzeko but it is abvious that he is great talent and good striker.

I watched almost every Wolfsburg game this season, and of course the season before and i must say that he has continuity in his game. He is tall, strong, fast striker who play with both legs, and his head very good. I must say that i dont know player in the world right know who is tall like him and is so fast with good technik. Ibra is okey but he cant run like Dzeko. We saw his season what Ibra showed us and we cant be satisfied with him.

Dzeko had good 2 seasons and scored 48 goals with a average team like Wolfsburg and was so good in that kind of team. I always ask myself what would he do if he play with players like Messi, Xavi, Iniesta...cant image that!

Steve Mclaren said that Dzeko is worth 40 milion euros, but Dzeko said couple months ago that money dont interest him and will not be crucial thing in his move because he is the man who grew up in Sarajevo where he had to hide because of war and in that occasion he didnt have what to eat.

If someone ask me about Dzeko, as a Barca fan, i would change him with Ibra without thinking. I know how muc is he worth, and by the way he is 24 years old and time is on his side to learn much more and to became better player than he is now. I hope he will sign for a great club. It seems that Man Utd will sign him if they sell Berbatov...

We had tall strikers before, but it simply didn't work. Dzeko would be great for Premier League and Serie A but not for Barca.

I think he shouldn't leave Germany, Bayern would be perfect for him.
