To be fair Ive always been a fan he has a brilliant football brain always see's a pass .

He was brilliant tonight and I was a bit pissed off when Eto pushed him away from that free kick which he blasted at the wall .

He will stay in spain I think Ive read he loves the life over there and I dont blame him spain is a stunning country.

Yeah i agree. His partnership with hasslebaink was amazing, and like u say he has a great footballing brain. Also really good technique. However for one reason or another he is struggling to get into the first team (although having said that its pretty obvious why when he has players like iniesta and xavi ahead of him). I wish him well. I do hope he stays in spain..im sure a team like valencia will take him especially if we do a deal for villa.

he's a good player, very classy on the ball, and I did wish he would have made it at barca but he's not proved consistent enough to rely on. no doubt at the start of the season he was #3 in terms of creative midfielders (xavi and iniesta being 1 and 2) and saw appropriate game-time. but since the new year he's not been as consistent in his performances, being particularly sucktastic in the copa, and this has led to pep losing faith in him.

people have said he played awesome for Chelsea but honestly, he has never done anything fantastic while on Barca. He messes up so many attacks and always gets the ball to start a perfect counterattack, then he just dribbles forward a bit, stops and passes the ball back. He's getting old and doesn't have the confidence anymore that a Barca player needs. I've never been impressed sorry, I'd like to see him go and bring in a valid option to give Xavi some rest.

As for Mascherano, don't think he's worth 25 million to be honest. Toure is a beast and I'm sure Sergi can pick up the slack during the 1 month he'll be away. 25 million for a 1 month replacement is a waste in my opinion, we already got 2 good defensive mids. I'd love to see us grab Fabregas or Silva to be our third midfielder, then against strong attack teams we can start Toure (or Sergi). They're actually worth the 25 million imo. Besides that our defense looks great at the moment with Henrique and Marquez looking healthy, he'll be around at least for the season.
