Ofc he wants to start, but if you start him this means you can't sub him off because that's Messi and playing full 90min after being 2 months out is not very wise decision. Moreover, Messi as a sub could be deadly like it was against Atletico.
Yea, if it is 1-1 when he gets in. If it's 2-0 for Madrid, Messi on in min. 65 won't change much. If he is fit, he should start imho.

Thing is that its not worth risking messi to start.Worst case scenario we lose and that won't be a big deal as its been Rm and barca winning alternately for some time now and a loss at their home isn't a big deal. They still won't get ahead in the league.

If he got the medical green light from the medical team then he's probably recovered from his injury.

The process is always gradual for a reason. The start is done by subbing done late in the 2nd half and starting the next match.Take iniesta for example when he came back from injury recently.

One can be healed from their injury.

I highly doubt he is fit enough yet to play more than 30 mins of top level football. He will probably be blowing hard (breathing heavy) while he is on.

Morning all

Game day

Good Evening. I can imagine there are contrasting atmospheres at Breakfast among the players of both teams.
Real Madrid players will probably be shaking with Nerves in a serious mood. . . . .the pressure.
Barcelona on the other hand will probably be joking around with excitement and smiles.
I've placed my money on Barca. In New Zealand Barca have been placed at slight underdogs by about 4%

I think real know they need to win as even a draw and the lead goes to 4 points. It may not be much but with messi now back it could only get worse.

Geez, masche...hope i see ginger at cb. Bbc can almost jump over hefe.

I'd prefer Verminator, since he's the best in aerial play from these 3, and he's not as clumsy as Mathieu, little bit more 'tough' as well i think.:p Even though Mathieu has been great these past few weeks and i think he may get the nudge anyway, since Vermaelen is missing some match fitness as well. Tough call. Maybe Vermaelen could be a good option for the last 20 minutes or so to strenghten our back line in aerial play and to try and keep Madrid from scoring some stupid late goal from a standard situation.
