Wtf man, this is insane. Such a shame he made a name for himself so late. Could have made a much bigger career on club level. On international level it cant be any bigger though.

Guys like him and Courtois keep their teams alive in big moments. Alisson has also had some big clutch moments even though he can be a bit iffy sometimes.

We should strive for the same. Don't be content with "good enough".

Agree, goalkeeper and defensive midfielder are probably the most important positions on the pitch. Not in terms of glory, but in terms of the heartbeat of the team.

Anyway, Martinez can be brilliant when he is up for it. Like you say he makes big saves when it matters, and is actually quite good with the ball at his feet too.

He's not as good as Alisson who for me is the best goalkeeper of this generation, but I think he stacks up well against the rest, mostly.

Dibu is honestly the GOAT Argentinian Goalkeeper. I dont think any other GK was as important and consistent as him during their history. Top 3 reasons for their revival.
