Henderson looks pretty average when he's not allowed to run around for 90 minutes but that's hardly a surprise.
He's not a great passer and he's certainly not a holding midfielder so Roy is just wasting him there.

If he just wants his midfielders to sit then it makes even less sense to not include Carrick.

nothing roy does makes any sense. the way our players back off is just an invite for a dribbler to do a maradona. makes even less sense when you consider most of these players are best when they are pressing.
