lately he is becoming better and better. the decisions he made and his passing game were flawless against Bilbao and he has a certain air of relaxyness about him; i like it!

What I like Abidal is that he has stepped up his game significantly ever since we got Maxwell. Now that there's also Adriano competing for the spot (even though he's an RB foremost), it makes him work even harder.

I still think he had a very good 2008/2009,after that season the impovement noticed was only in his attacking duties which may have been more of instructions from Pep after Promoting a smarter player to first spot defensive Midfielder which meant that Abidal had the license to go forward,his job is still to defend to keep the balance with our flying right wing back but he really improved his attacking duties a lot,sometimes it looks that he doesnt know what to do when he reaches the final third but he is still decent going forward,great to see him doing well as a Centreback again.I love that guy,probably the most underrated player in our squad

Oh, I'm not saying he didn't. He was an absolute beast during the 2008/09 season. And I wholeheartdely agree on the matter that his improvement can be in many ways attributed to Pep. It's just great seeing him improve further and proving many of the fans wrong after the 2007/2008 season. I was one of the people that had been extremely critical of him back then, and I'm just glad he turned my head around.
