No.
1. in majority of La Liga matches, play Pep's onedimensional always too attacking style, and we will be fine.
In some away La Liga matches, adopt some more cautious approach.
2. in a CL knockout phase, say goodbye to Pep's style and play EV's or Rijkaard's 2006's style, Barca meeting workhorses and some cautious Italian approach.
I am quite sure that Barca would have way more CL titles in the last 20-30 years if we would have played Barca's style mixed with some Italian approach, and having Messi on top of that.
We would have slightly less fans, on the other hand.
Cruijff won 1 CL in 8 years.
Rijkaard won 1 CL in 5 years here.
Both Cruijff and Rijkaard had their fair share of naive CL performances with playing WAAAAAY TOO attacking.
A classical example of too attacking Barca back then and Pep in the last few years, it is like watching the same match over and over again:
EV can match them.
Also, EV has nice chances to win a CL in his debut season.
** People talk about EV's luck.
Cruijff's only CL title came after a lucky goal in injury time of a 2nd leg in early rounds before a final game, and in a final we won in extra time after a free kick.
And again, people talk about EV's luck...
