Yeah everyone on the city forums who watched the Tottenham game was astounded at how fluid our play was and they said that's what Pep is trying to do but it's a work in progress.

Nah I respect Pep for everything he's done but the hero worship for Pep is getting so old. Maybe it wasnt on this thread but it's not hard to find people always mentioning him like he is the only good manager we have ever had.

Valverde and lopetegui keeping each other’s company? At least Lopetegui has legitimate excuses (new team, no ronaldo, no meaningful additions, tougher teams to play against), what excuses does Valverde have? None. Better squad, rested Messi, easier schedule.

There aren't many of his fanboys left now but barcabarca is one of the most stubborn users I have ever witnessed. He would be totally alright if we play supershit but stay 1st if madrid etc underperform even more. Results, no matter how lucky, is what matters to him. I would also take a win by playing shit over vice versa given an option but the point is that since he got results by playing bad then chances are in the future we will not be so lucky and maybe get humiliated by an actual big team in the CL just like last time.

Yeah and la liga totally just became super hard so its just natural that Real and Barca suddenly lose points left and right while Sevilla is first with a stunning 16 points in 8 games record. I mean that wasn't the case the last years, so what suddenly changed during summer that made the league so hard?
We and Real just aren't doing a great job at the moment thats all. Hell Real didn't even score for 4 games, that says nothing about the league that just shows that they have serious problems. We don't have a new manager, we didn't lose our most important goal scorer so it was a great opportunity to already get far ahead of a stumbling Real but somehow we managed to only be 1 point up and that just sucks if you ask me.

Everything is pointless. We're pointless. Valverde is the manager, he is backed by the board, all we do is waste our time complaining over and over again about the same things like a broken record. It doesn't even matter who's right or wrong, this is the situation and it will carry on. I am going to take it easier this season. Just step back a bit and see what happens. Not the moment to be very excited watching this team under this manager that's for sure. Having low expectations and not demanding too much for the club is best advised for the time being. Maybe we'll be surprised in the end.

Aren't you stating the obvious? This is the principle of a football forum. We all know that Valverde (from day one) have not what it takes to coach Barça. Though being a yes man make him a perfect fit for our corrupt board.
