Ernesto Valverde - V1

Haha, Gomes is as mediocre there as he was here, and Digne was perfectly OK here. For both of them applies the logic that they now play at a vastly inferior side, meaning they're bound to look better than they did here. Mina? Rofl, he's as bad now as he was for us.

Now, apparently that was just for a start, so who else?

Better ask Adversus.

From what I hear, Gomes has not been mediocre and Digne has been one of the best LB in the league.

Go read up on an Everton forum. Some of them don't even want to activate the Gomes release clause. It looks like a repeat Barça case, as he's apparently lost his confidence after a bad spell, and now looks as lost and hapless as he did here.

Digne was good enough here as well, and the reason why he never dethroned Alba has got nothing to do with EV's abilities as a manager. But go ahead and tell yourself that.

There is no buy option for Gomes and his release clause is 100M.

I thought the loan deal came with an option to buy. Anyhow, it doesn't really matter - fact of the matter is that not all their fans want to keep him on a permanent basis, which should be quite telling.

Wasn't impressed with Gomes either. The only one who does well is Digne. And that's not surprising. He was a very good player for us.

Except I never told anyone that.

You clearly haven't been watching Everton ..

Digne rarely started here and he was average at best .. he's arguably the best LB in the whole league here .

The fans are raving about Gomes and are desperate to sign him so that's rubbish as well .,

Edit

Right on cue :)
Gomes just scored a 25 yard screamer in the top corner .. Everton take the lead ... Ha !

You’re clueless as usual, Zinc. Go find a Everton forum. Opinions are greatly divided.

Oh shit, he scored! World class!

Sure, let’s grab a new manager and get them both back. Instant ChL title guaranteed.

Gomes is mediocre and Digne was just fine here. More trust and playtime in a worse team will make most players look better. I know logic isn’t your strong suit, but I’m sure you’ll learn some day, Zinc... Well, probably not.
