Struggle to think how can such a mediocre manager win the CL.

Last 10 years.

2008-09 Pep
2009-10 Mourinho
2010-11 Pep
2011-12 God
2012-13 Heynckes
2013-14 Ancelotti
2014-15 MSN
2015-16 Zidane
2016-17 Zidane
2017-18 Zidane

Do you guys see anyone like Ernie there?

Someone like Marcelino would have roughly the same results like Valverde at Barcelona if his front 4 would've been Messi, Suarez, Dembele, Coutinho. With these players if Madrid and Atletico aren't really strong, you win the league every season.

Let's be honest Marcelino is a much better manager than Valmierda

This guy exists only to be a cowardly servant to the big names in the locker room at this point.

Doesn't have a single ounce of courage in him to bench or take off underperforming players such as Rakitic, Pique, Suarez, Roberto etc. But he has the balls to bench and punish some other players that were brought in under him if they make even the slightest mistakes.

It's no wonder why these guys want him to stay. They only care about themselves and not for the greater good for the team.

Barca losing points to Valencia at Camp Nou is nothing new. They were on good form recently as well. Should be happy with getting a draw here actually, they looked primed and ready to take you on, but seems the club values Copa more than some of these liga fixtures where you half guaranteed to trip up anyway.

Back to clowning around again are we

Us and Madrid have by far the worst managers out of Europe's best 5 clubs.

Allegri, Guardiola, Klopp and Simeone are at least 1 level above Ernie and Solari.

I bet we'll still win the CL. Somehow.

Doubt it. We will surely reach a moment where things go sour and then Valverde will bail out and leave us die a slow death like vs Roma. We're not good enough to win regardless of the manager. Meaning to carry a normal manager to a CL win like in 2014-15. Even then, we needed a peak MSN to make it happen, + some other key players just raising their games at the same time.

This year, we're good, but not that good as to flat out outplay big teams.

Take the next tie with Madrid. It's 50-50. I can totally see us being knocked out.

Unfortunately World Class managers don't grow on trees. Don't like Valverde and I don't like Setien and Machin is too green and has a steep learning curve ahead of him. Marcelino will at most only be a slight improvement over Valverde, if at all.

Who are even our alternatives? It's pretty bad out there. Not sure what we can expect. Sure we could throw Xavi or someone like that in there and pray it works, but far from a guarantee...
