If the squad is second to the mighty city, and pep is he best manager in the world with his amazing football, why were city knocked out the cl against spurs? Last year they lost to Liverpool (when they weren’t as good as they are now) and the year before to Monaco?

Yes, we have that many trophies but most wouldn't like to hear this but winning La Liga with the RM of Atletico of the last 2 years who are shadows of what they once were, and we with this many good players don't require a pep level coach. Not to mention how average we have played time and time again in the league but won thanks to individual brilliance and luck.

Roma wasn't an aberration. We played like how we usually play and lineup but were found out unlike before.

Dunno why the forum got defensive at being the second best squad to City as if it is an insult. I should have said city is "arguably" better in the squad but if someone doesn't think so then fine.Imo city is definitely better their depth is second to none unlike us and someone mentioned that our mid is better than theirs which is a massive no-no.

Also, you need to understand the concept of probability. Being the best squad doesn't mean you will win the CL. You just have a high probability of winning compared to the rest and you can do a survey and you will find majority agreeing City's squad is better than ours and if you looked back at the bookies' odds during the quarters you would have seen they had the best odds of winning the CL.

Same could be said about your boy Pep when he arrived at City. Only he manages to regress them in the CL and has only managed managed to match previous managers in the league. Whereas EV has shown complete DOMINANCE in the league + CDR and managed to elevate us in the CL this season.

Did Pep lose a world class player like Neymar when he came to City and manage to rebuild perfectly? Did Pep manage to win the League over a historic European team like Valverde did going against Real Madrid?
