Ernesto Valverde - V1

None of them except Xavi could bench any of the seniors. Erik ten Hag which is a great fit for us won't have the balls to drop players like Pique, Suarez, Busquets, Raki & cos.

We need someone like Pep. It's an unpopular opinion but Marcelo Bielsa character and temperament is what we need. His temperament makes him very close with his players but also can go toe to toe with players who don't perform and not afraid of confrontation.

Bielsa and Pochettino’s ideas on football are very similar, but Pochettino is a much calmer guy, which usually a positive trait but I became to think we need a strong madman for this team.

Pure speculation based on...i don t know what.

The next coach is expected to make changes not just repeat same shit as the guys before him.

We don't need a yes man with no guts who is the puppet of the veterans in this team. We need someone with balls like Luis Enrique, but someone better at his job than he was. Zidane fits the bill the best .

I am laughing, because it is laughable. On whatever side you look at. There are managers who are trophyless with no experience that need SIGNIFICANT reputation baggage to pull the job off at this level. I don't blame Solari or Lopetegui whatsoever, their job was doomed from the start and Solari actually contributed on a certain level.

Replacing EV will not solve anything. It will be a different flavour of shit.

Well that’s true, but nobody is saying that. If the replacement is poor it will be same. Also people are wanting a personell shake up along with the new manager. A truly new era, like what pep did when he first arrived, getting rid of Ronaldinho and deco.

enrique was stubborn but in the end it was xavi who saved him. it tells you that we are running on auto pilot since pep left.

The board need to actually make the changes. Also I think a ruthless attitude could send a message, by dumping a few seniors this summer. Barca can learn from that Madrid attitude.

While in this particular case I’d keep valverde until the end of the season, a bit of ruthlessness wouldn’t be too bad and sets the tone at the team for what the expectations are. So if they did fire him I wouldn’t mind.

I agree with this, we should be ruthless & fire him immediately, it will send a strong signal to the players, our next coach and the rest of Europe that we will not stand for failure.

Yeah we need someone unhinged like Mourinho, look at Herr Klopp laughing when Messi scored that free kick he's not all there, who knows what he tells his players during half time.

Another one is Pep look at pep in the dressing room when City are WINNING,can you imagine EV doing that? https://youtu.be/4ufbyxCxmCk

The reading comprehension problems people here have and as a result want to lump people into EV fanboy camp is quite something

Man, the new era starts with the manager. Always did. What's the first thing Madrid did to start the rejuvenation this season? Got Zidane after sacking both Lopetegui and Solari. What did we do to start the rejuvenation in 2008? Brought Pep. What did Liverpool do to become what they are today? Got Klopp. City? They got Pep.

What did Chelsea do in 2004 to become a real force in England? Got Mourinho. What do all these managers have in common? They have a vision, they are leaders, and they take no shit.

Every single great new team that dominated in a country (or all over Europe) has been born with a leader manager who shaped the team in whichever way he saw fit. The moves we want will not be done by the board. But by the new manager, like Pep did in 2008 when he got rid of two major stars like Ronnie and Deco. Like Zidane will do this year.

The board are the most to blame because they are the only one who could've sacked Valverde last year, when the signs were already there, and didn't.

COPE-@HelenaCondis] | Barca have opened a deep stage of as the do not want to make hot decisons

The board are disappointed at Valverde

The players though are still with Valverde

What a shock that this clowns still support him. I wonder what does Messi say to them in the dressing room after a game like this. Imagine being a player of his ability and year after year being let down by these idiots.

Those fuckers know their time is running out at the highest level, so they want to clinch to their comfort zone.

Sack him now, so there can not be a but but he won Copa excuse FFS.

Multiple accounts? What are you talking about??? Please take your medication before replying to me, rational people are discussing the result here.

You replied to me as Havesaks, I didn't address you  You just revealed yourself, Who should have his medication?

Also, you should STFU and stop posting here altogether. You are one of those who worshipped Valverde's and insulted people who critisized him. Now you think you can contribute to this post-Valverde discussion? GTFO troll!

I know, I just said I (and others) want a squad shake up too, because Wolfe was implying that we just want a new manager and that’s all that’s needed.

Wolfe is implying many things, but he just throws enough shit that some might stick for some time until it inevitably falls off too.

Can't take someone seriously who in this day and age undervalues the importance of the manager in world football, when everything indicates that the opposite is actually happening.
