We are already the laughing stock of Europe after the Anfield defeat. People still can comprehend how significant that defeat was.
A group exit would just confirm what most real fns know anyways. The club is in crisis on all fronts. I think it will take a few years and huge change in personnel to get back on the right track.
We're going down the path of Milan and Utd.
A group stage exit would be perfect.

Group stage exit would be the needed shock, because that fucking weasel is still hiding behind 1st place in La Liga and CL, when it's obvious that his tactics are non-existent and the team is in chaos and in crisis. It's good that more and more pundits and former managers are starting to say it how it is. So the final period of the Valverde tenure has already begun.
We're lucky to have won/drawn all the games in CL btw. Dortmund away, Inter home, Slavia away. Inter could've been 3-0 up in the first half on Camp Nou, Dortmund dominated us all game in Germany and even Slavia had more chances and shots on goal than us at their stadium. Out of all the matches, we only played well in the 2nd half of the Inter game. That's 1 out of 8 halves.

Would rather we lose enough in La Liga that Valverde gets fired before he gets the chance to crash out of the group stage.

Basically 1 year coaching experience prior to the Chelsea job, not even in the first league, and is now leading the changing of the generation at his dream club quite well. With bravery, leadership, and trusting the youth.

From what I've seen River play a possession game but alot of goals come from whipped to crosses from the wing. There is alot of movement from the players. With club de amigos nobody gets at the end of crosses and there is no movement either

Crosses? Gallardo is the Guardiola of South America, he is more fit for Barca style than any current Dutch or Spaniad coaches.
Gallardo stresses a quick one-touch passing especially in the final stages of an attack. He has a two seconds player move rule because he thinks the opposition has enough time to reorganize their defense and neutralize the threat if the player moves with the ball more than two seconds. Here an example of a build-up attack from the back, just like Barca used to play. Notice how long the players keep the ball.
