Think I have finally seen the light aswell because of his post. Here I was thinking for 2+ years how average Valverde is with his boring football and " pass it to Messi" gameplan. Now It's clear to me that Valverde made Real so bad which is why Barca is winning these La liga's so easily. Let's also not forget that these average Barca players are just not on Valverde's wavelegth , because if they were Valverde would have easily made them play peak tiki-taka football and probably would have won b2b trebles.


3 years is an insult to Lord Valverde , I would give him a lifetime contract.

I always thought Scandinavians cared a lot about creativity, vision, and new ideas. EV provides absolutely none of that. He even dresses like he's from the late 90's.

Somebody could print a 200 page book with the idiotic things this guy said in a 2 and a half years. And that's just the things he slipped to the media. Imagine the volumes his assistant manager could write with Ernie's 'pearls of wisdom'. The guy could get filthy rich. Would be a bestseller.

Nah, Ernie has a lot of adepts among the fans who think the players manage themselves more or less. On every forum there's a good chunk of fans who think the manager's role is to stand around and pick who plays and basically collect his paycheck without doing much else.

Ernie looks decent on the surface, nice quiet guy, polite, and calm and everything, but once you go in depth and look closely, you can spot the huge flaws a mile away.

I see, so I should be happy that we have an average but tame manager. Sorry mate. I'm after bold and competent like our rivals have, nothing else will do. When you want to fight with the best and win the CL, you can't afford to be content with Valverde. You handicap yourself if you adopt this mindset.

Just because you can get worse than Valverde, doesn't mean Valverde is good.
