Scenes when all of this falls apart and Valverde is given until the end of the season, but ends up winning the CL which gets his contract renewed yet again. :coffee:

If Ernie wins the CL why would it be bad news? It means he is a Shaman doing black magic and those are rare. Last one I've seen was Di Matteo.

Also, Ernie's celebrations are so Fifa 2002, he doesn't have any other moves?

Damn I hate psg. Stealing Neymar, even made a bit on Xavi 70-80m euros back in his days, where linked with many of our players around 2012-2016. The good thing is you just now, they won't be around for long when Abu Dhabi lose interest and throw their toy away like trash.

How will that affect a Qatar owned team? lol

Im hoping this happens but fear it may not... Not keen on xavi but anything other than valverde (mourinho/allegri type coaches)

For now and the next 2-4 years I would have preferred Ten Haag or Gallardo or even Nagelsmann. I dont know how it will work out with Xavi. In a club where we already have problems with players who have too much too say, then I dont know how smart it is to make a personal friends of them a coach. I would have waited with Xavi to the players he played with had left.

But I definitely see something in Xavi which can make him a great coach. I hope he gets 100% commitent from the board and I hope he is clever enough to see this himself.

And btw, maybe its not bad that he comes now instead of summer. Now is basically a free season. If he doesn't win anything, cules won't blame him for anything. But next season we will expect trophies.

Xavi can easily bench the entire starting XI bar Messi if he has the will to do so. He's a much bigger name than anyone else on the team. The respect he'd command at the club might only be second to Pep.

Question is, is he willing to make those tough decisions with his former teammates?

That is true but Xavi seems like a great character. So lets hope. Even though he isn't in my top 3 for the job, Im optimistic.
