Ernesto Valverde

Doesn't 2015 come before or after 2012? Because that's the last time we actually won it.

I know Madrid have people believe crazy come backs in CL are a regular thing as is winning it back to back to back, but it ain't, we won some we lost some, 12 we got beat, 3 years later we came back & won it.

Since Valverde, who was up 3-0 twice!!! Our record speaks for itself, that's when we lost our fear factor in the champions league, the Bayern 8-2 added to it.

Theirs a massive difference is saying we haven't won't the CL in 8 years, as opposed to 4, that's thanks to Valverde.

Again, that is a weak argument as it gets
Yes, there was an exception in 2015, when we built arguably the best team ever assembled.
But we were embarrassed against Bayern in 2013, beaten by inferior sides in both 2014 and 2016, beaten 0-4 and 0-3 in 2017 away from home, beaten 2-8 in CL in 2020, 1-4 in him against PSG, and now Xavi got eliminated 4 times in 15 months from European competitions, oneof those Koeman get most of the blame.
Just because "oh, we won in 2015" doesn't shift the blame on one coach.
Again, you want to put that on one coach who arrived in middle of that, then you will never look for a root cause.

This you is over complicating the issue as tends to be the case, we win some we lose some, to say oh we lost away games before Valverde is just trying to muddy the waters, we lost away games under pep as well, we were still respected, same as lucho, because losing in a KO competition is apart of the game, unless your name is Madrid over the last two years.

No one cares if you lose a couple games in the CL, if you're averaging a win every 3 years or so.

But after losing two SF final twice after being up 3 goals against the likes of roma, other teams started seeing us as weak & we lost the fear/respect factor, which was finalized by the 8-2 by Bayern.

All that started with Valverde and bartomeau.

Not sure but in 2019/20, opponents still feared us when EV was here. It was after he was sacked
