Ernesto Valverde

Almost like it’s the players who need to take responsibility, what do you want Valverde to say? Alba stop crying?
I don't take away their responsibility too of course. Messi was also just pleading his team "just one goal" instead of building a mentality to fight. It was a loser mentality from the whole team, but a coach is the first person who can turn this mentality around. Look how Pep or Klopp motivate their teams. They're ready to die for them after their speeches.
Valverde isn't that kind of guy.

He would maybe improve our results, but definitely not our game play. Scoring the first goal and defending all game the one goal lead? No thank you, don't need that again. And he has absolutely zero leading skills. I remember the documentary, when we lost 4-0 in Liverpool. Halftime score was 1-0, Alba was already crying and this guy squatted like over a shitting hole and drew tactics on the whiteboard, while the team was frightened like chicken.
He didn't understand they needed a motivation boost in that moment. All he needed to do was playing some motivation music, hold a good speech and let the team fight the 2nd half. Instead he drew tactics no one listened to and we lost 4-0. He doesn't have the mentality to coach a top team, no matter how good he tactically is.

Uf Loki isnt a EV fan😳

His football won't be entertainment but at least we could defend again, the team wouldnt look chaotic and our title chances would increase extremely! So a big upgrade, especially if you look who are the potential replacement options 🤔

Klopp is struggling to motivate his team this season… and pep in UCL bottled it to spurs Chelsea and Monaco

To be able to motivate a team doesn't mean you will win every game of course. Otherwise there would be only one person on the planet who can motivate each season....I just talk about the footage I got to see and Valverde clearly failed at the most crucial moment to motivate and built up a fight for the second half in Liverpool.

And what about the footage you don’t see?

I do have respect for him and I do understand the idiosyncrasies of the circumstances he was placed in.

But he did get us embarrassed while carrying an uninspring cloud over us all the while having Messi.

So no way for me does he count as a legend or close even.
