At Liverpool, they went to score but at Roma, Barcelona were okay with playing defensive and allowing Roma to run the play, that's why the comeback happened in the first place. If we were truly set out to win, I believe we would've prevented that comeback.
Barca had more of the ball in Rome.

There is no way EV went out to defend in that game.

The team just shat themselves as did too often around then when conceded.

Think Messi had something like 14 attempts across those Rome games and didnt score.. that is not to blame Messi but they were not sitting in.

Ppl still here EV the fault for that debacle??

We lost away to PSG, Juve, Roma,Liverpool,Bayern

under 3 different coaches

The team was in Arsenal mode in away matches
If EV was as great as you trolls portray him to be, he would have fixed it.

Pep, Mou, Klopp, Simeone, Tuchel, Flick, Inzaghi would have never bottled those games. Especially after winning the first game by 3 goals and playing against a side without 2 of their 3 forward starters.

2nd legs against Roma aren't a problem for him with a different squad. Quarterfinal looks winnable as well.

Knocking out Roma also helps solidify La Liga getting the 5th CL spot, so we don't need to worry much about Villareal overtaking them if Bilbao focus on Europa.

Pep the season before was 3-0 down at Anfield after 30 minutes in CL and 4-1 down after 60 in the league. Even the much worshipped Lucho was blown out in CL knockout away matches the season before with a younger version of that squad and peak Neymar.

That and the 8-2 makes it obvious to anyone who knows ball that the players not EV were the problem.

A really strong chance of winning the Europa League. Hopefully they eliminate Rangers - because I despise Rangers for many reasons - and if they do they'll play Lyon or Man United. If it's United then Athletic are a step up from Sociedad. After the disgraceful decisions United got the other night though, Athletic or Lyon might not be allowed to win.

I've gained more respect for this guy lately.

You can see these days why he didn't trust younger players. Turns out they're fucking shit.

There's a reason we're still relying on a 36 year old Lewa. His attitude is obviously not as shit as the old amigos, but still 10 years ago top clubs would not be considering 36 year old strikers to be viable as their star player.

Also turns out this guy was right about Arthur, Dembele, Semedo etc.

Tbh I've gained more respect for coaches in general over the past few years. Fergie was right about Pogba for example and people weren't willing to admit it until a couple of years ago.

Players these days are a bunch of overhyped overpaid no talent prima donnas.

Heard that was a myth back then and he actually wanted to keep him, was just wage demands or something. That's what a lot of Mancs say, anyway.

I purchased the first One Piece manga boxset containing volumes 1 - 23. Found it on heavy discount.

Tito Vilanova was right about Thiago

Valverde was right about Arthur and Semedo

Koeman was right about Puig (ok let's be real everyone saw this one coming outside of Puig's weird cult)

C'mon dawgs gimme a "Tata Martino was right about..." and "Xavi was right about..." so I can complete the set.

Why are additional CL slots based off of the performance of non CL sides?
